French gourmet and cuisine
Few countries, if any, have a food culture as strong as France. There is a lot of exquisite restaurants to choose from, many of them even with a star or three. One of the most exciting restaurants in our area is located only half an hour away from Castelrey, in a well maintained small medieval village on top of a small mountain. The village has romantic streets and alleys, and a completely unique view from the castle walls. A guided visit with a magnificent dinner can be arranged for groups seeking culinaric experiences in historic surroundings.
Mariottat is a reputable Michelin-starred restaurant in Agen. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the food need no further description. It is, of course, in a class of its own. Trips for groups are arranged, and we hope the restaurant will be open for many, many years to come. Since it is difficult to get a table at Mariottat, the request for a visit to this restaurant must be given us during your booking session of your stay at Château Castelrey. If you prefer to go alone you might of course book a table on your own. At Mariottat they know how to take good care of their guests.
